Women of a Certain Rage
Most of the books on this list are from the northern hemisphere so if you happen to reside in the southern hemisphere, or you’re looking for a perspective from a different part of the world, this might be the book for you. It’s an anthology of Australian women from various backgrounds, races, and identities.

Angry. Cranky. Mad. Can you think of any context when applying these words to a woman would be positive? Angry bitch. Cranky old lady. Mad witch. Negative associations are much easier to find. Women aren’t supposed to be enraged. As a long term feminist activist now in my eighties, I accept rage – or any of its synonyms – as an appropriate descriptor of my current political mood.
