This one is on my to read list for 2019! Here’s what’s promised;
‘Rise and Resist takes a wild trip through the new activism sweeping the world. The political march is back in a big way, as communities rally to build movements for environmental and social justice. But today’s context calls for increasingly creative strategies to make our voices heard. Clare Press meets passionate change makers who believe in the power of the positive. From eco-warriors and zero-wasters to knitting nannas, introvert craftists to intersectional feminists, they’re all up for a revolution of sorts. Are you?’
Did you know craftism (craft + activism) was a thing? I had no idea! (Post edit: After writing this I subsequently stumbled across an entire exhibition about craftism at the Museum of Democracy at Old Parliament House in Canberra. Craftism is most definitely a thing!)
