Every woman needs to free herself from her inner good girl.
The inner good girl is the one who cares deeply about being likeable, or about not disappointing others. She's so focused on other people's responses to her behaviour that she often loses sight of her own needs and emotions.
She doesn't engage in behaviour that might be perceived as controversial, and she doesn't put herself in positions that would see her being judged (fairly or unfairly) by others.
As a result, the good girl stops us from speaking up, or from putting ourselves forward for opportunities. She stops us from taken the necessary time to care for ourselves, and from prioritising our dreams.
It's time to clear her out.
