If you’re having financial problems in your business, there are so many steps you can take to be sure you’re making revenue generation the priority it needs to be in order to keep you afloat. Here are six quick things to check:
1. MAKE SURE EVERYTHING YOU HAVE FOR SALE IS ACTUALLY ON YOUR WEBSITE
Often you’re not making enough money because you haven’t put all of your products and programs on your website for people to buy them. It sounds obvious but take a few moments to look at your own suite of products and services. Are they all on your virtual shelves or are the shelves a bit bare?
2. MAKE SURE YOUR PRICES ARE CLEAR
Now that your shelves are full, the next thing to check is whether the way to purchase your products and services is obvious to visitors. Perhaps you’ve had the problem of being in a department store where there are lots of items to buy but there being no staff on the cash registers to actually exchange money with? I have and it’s so frustrating (and has led to more than one loss of sale for those stores).
What about your business? Do you have prices on your website? Is it easy to buy or have you overcomplicated things? Sometimes we can get so clever with funnels for example, that we forget the simplicity of simply setting a price and putting a buy button on your website.
3. GET OUT OF FEAST OR FAMINE MODE
Are you in a cycle of perpetually launching and then falling into famine and then launching again? Automated sales funnels come into their own here. Perhaps it’s time to consider this kind of business model, or look at introducing multiple revenue streams into your business to take the pressure off your next launch.
4. DO ENOUGH PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT YOU?
Being visible is key to making money in your business. It can be so easy to fall into the trap of doing busy work that keeps you invisible to your ideal customers and clients. One key action you can take today is to show up on other people’s platforms. Places where your ideal customer is spending time, and start adding some real value there.
Getting out of your own bubble is key to visibility in business.
5. ASK FOR THE SALE REGULARLY
In order to sell your products and services, you have to mention your business and your products and services a lot in order for them to stay top of someone else’s mind. Communicating regularly about your products and services in a way that resonates with your audience is essential here.
6. PAY ATTENTION TO MONEY – ENJOY IT AND LOVE IT
To receive anything – love, money, friendship, joy – you have to want that thing. To want it, you have to feel good about it. Even love it.
It’s impossible to receive something like money if on some level you’re judging or rejecting it. Learning to appreciate it and feel confident about engaging with it is key to building real financial wealth in your life.
