Here at the School of Visibility, we believe that as a society we need to be having many more conversations about sexism. Sexism in schools, in workplaces, in the home, and in Parliament.
We’re creating a series of conversation starters for you to share on socials to encourage discussion and debate.
We’re starting with rape culture in schools, colleges and universities.
NB: We know that conversations online can be challenging. We know some people forget that they’re speaking to other human beings and show aspects of themselves that they’d never show if they didn’t feel protected behind their computer screen. We also know that if we don’t have these conversations, nothing will change. In the words of Audre Lorde, ‘Your silence will not protect you’.
So let’s talk about these topics. And if you feel concerned about safety online, here’s an article that might help.
Other resources relating to sexual violence in schools, colleges and universities include:

The School of Visibility headquarters are based in Canberra, Australia. We acknowledge the Ngunnawal and Ngambri people as the traditional owners of this land.
We recognise that the land was never ceded. We support the Uluru Statement from the Heart and we pay our respect to Elders past and present.
